Role Description

Rapid Recovery Center (RRC) is built around providing effective care with a personal touch, which can only be accomplished when the care team works together, including nurses, therapists, hospitality, and cuisine. As executive chef, you’ll hold the vital role of planning and providing high-quality, exceptional food for patients.

At RRC, we believe that the dietary needs of patients are extremely important for recovery. You’ll manage all aspects of kitchen and culinary side, including staff, budget and menus. In addition to creating holding the facility to the high RRC standard, you’ll also have to ensure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines and regulations.

Rapid Recovery Center is changing how people recover. As the executive chef, you’ll be able to have a major impact on the experience of our patients, and on their lives.

 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and sanitary food preparation and storage through supervision and assistance in the work flow and sanitary food handling techniques of staff throughout meal preparation and service
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of menus
  • Process diet changes as received from clinical partners
  • Supervise and prepare high quality meals
  • Plan and provide catering services on property
  • Visit patients in the dining room
  • Manage and lead dietary team to include scheduling and training
  • Purchase food supplies
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment as reflected in staff satisfaction

What we’re looking for

  • Associates Degree in Culinary is highly desired
  • Certified Dietary Manager certification preferred or willing to obtain licensure
  • Food Service Manager certification
  • Three years’ successful experience in a culinary role in a healthcare environment (hospital or post acute care setting)
  • Experience creating and costing out menus is desired
  • Excellent communication skills with a hospitality mind-set
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
