Role Description

Rapid Recovery Center is dedicated to providing effective care with a personal approach. The backbone of that personal approach is the overall patient experience built around treating the patient as both a person and a patient at the same time. As the director of guest services, you are instrumental to creating that experience.

You’ll oversee housekeeping, laundry, culinary, activities and transportation services to create a high-quality environment of hospitality. You’ll take direct hand in creating those personal touches that make an experience truly exceptional, holding everything to the high standards of Mainstreet and Rapid Recovery Center.

Rapid Recovery Center is built around changing how care is delivered to people recovering from major medical episodes. As the director of guest services, you’ll be directly making a difference in their recovery, and their lives.

 

Overall Responsibilities:

    • Implement and assess general processes and procedures to ensure a high level of detail within culinary, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation services

    • Lead, coach and train culinary, housekeeping, laundry, activities and transportation staff with focus on RRC culture of hospitality
    • Utilize supply vendors approved by RRC
    • Ensure that everyone is in the proper professional uniform standard for each department
    • Be the driving positive force that works to grow the hospitality culture.
    • Create and maintain a positive work environment as reflected in staff satisfaction
    • Manage labor costs to meet staffing guidelines through proper scheduling in culinary, housekeeping, laundry, transportation and activities
    • Review cleaning schedule for all Patient suites
    • Verify quality of services offered in Patient suites, room service delivery, dining room, café, activities and transportation services
    • Manage culinary, housekeeping, laundry, activities and transportation processes and efficiencies
    • Manage and lead Patient activities program  and calendar of events
    • Fill in for culinary, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry and transportation  as needed

 

What we’re looking for

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business is preferred
    • Certified Activity Director certification preferred or willing to obtain required licensure
    • Previous experience managing facilities management, housekeeping, laundry, activities and transportation in a restaurant, hotel or healthcare operation
    • Working knowledge of culinary, housekeeping, transportation, activities and laundry procedures and guidelines
    • Excellent communication skills with a hospitality mindset
    • Strong leadership experience
    • Knowledge and proficiency of software tools as required for managing each department workflow
