Role Description

Rapid Recovery Centers is dedicated to providing effective care in an exceptional environment with a personal approach. Therapy is a key part of that approach, and as a speech language pathologist, you’ll play an instrumental role in that therapy.

Working as part of our therapy team, you’ll be responsible for providing rehabilitation services under scope of speech pathology. You’ll diagnose and treat speech and language disorders, as well as swallowing disorders (dysphagia). As you’ll work directly with patients, you’ll also take a hands-on approach to making sure they get the personal touch that yields effective results.

Rapid Recovery Center is changing the approach to post-acute care, and our on-site therapy team is an essential part of that change. As speech language pathologist, you’ll be part of that transformative change, and make a profound difference in the lives of our patients.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan and administer treatment to patients with problems related to communication, swallowing, and cognition
  • Administer and interpret tests and measurements for oral motor strength and function, voice, fluency, articulation, oral and written language, and cognition
  • In collaboration with the patient and treatment team, establish a plan of care to meet goals for checkout
  • Provide treatment as agreed to in the plan of care
  • Provide instruction to patients, families, and caregivers in interventions and compensatory techniques related to communication, swallowing and cognitive disorder
  • Maintain communication with patient and patient’s treatment team to facilitate optimal outcome in therapy
  • Document all interventions and treatments in the electronic medical record


What we’re looking for

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (or equivalent)
  • Current license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist as required by state law
  • At least two years of professional work experience as a speech language pathologist
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other staff
  • Detail oriented and a strong team player
