Role Description

The HR Coordinator will support implementation of HR strategies, Recruitment and Employee Engagement programs under the direction of the Regional HR Director:

Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Regional HR Director and is responsible for providing high quality internal and external customer service. The HR Coordinator manages the on boarding and off boarding processes. Maintains the recruitment process and talent acquisition reports. Creates, maintains and audits employee files. Collaborates with recruiter to assist in administration of various recruitment processes and procedures. Assists with employee questions and requests. Advise managers and employees on policy interpretation questions. Assists with Benefits Administration projects as needed. Assists with special projects as needed or assigned from the HR Director.

Support effective employee access to HR services

  • Implement HR programs/initiatives as directed by the Regional HR Director
  • Support effective implementation of the HR Support Model; direct employees and managers to the appropriate source of information (self-service portal) and facilitate access
  • Raise employee and manager awareness about available employee benefit and engagement programs
  • Respond appropriately to time-sensitive HR issues

Support Employee & Community engagement

  • Support local employee engagement and community events or activities; coordinate employee recognition and service award events or program implementation
  • Distribute HR communications efficiently
  • Coordinate and provide support for employee engagement programs
  • Support implementation of department or facility action plans as a result of engagement survey results, etc.

Support HR operational excellence

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and processes
  • Maintain confidential Employee Relations data as appropriate (documenting behaviors, discussions, disciplinary actions, etc.)
  • Support local hiring processes defined by the Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Maintain onboarding process (i.e. reference checks, criminal background, on boarding paperwork, etc.)
  • Assist with all the events/coordination and some presentation with regards to onboarding
  • Provide seamless candidate experience
  • Maintain accurate data in our applicant tracking system and manage recruitment activity reports
  • Contribute to numerous recruiting projects and program
  • Assist and support Talent Acquisition Team with onboarding processes and recruitment activities, coordinate events such as, university recruiting, conferences, meet-ups, and onsite and offsite recruiting events
  • Post jobs in the ATS database and other niche job boards
  • Arrange travel and lodging for selected applicants, and recruiting team
  • Communicate with candidates and interviewers ensuring proper arrangements are made for on-site interviews and on boarding for new hires
  • Work with Recruiters to ensure offer packet is accurate and complete. Maintain and update new hire documents
  • Coordinate local orientation programs and assist with content delivery.
  • Provide program support to compliance initiatives; gather information and help with preparation for compliance audits (, Joint Commission, Dept. of Labor). Maintain required legal postings
  • Support learning and development activities (logistics, program tracking, completion of development plan actions, updating and preparing succession plan documentation, etc.)
  • Support benefits enrollment at the location, setting up information sessions, directing employees to the appropriate web and call center resources
  • Produce standard reports on HR metrics from core HR and Recruitment systems as required by the HR Director
  • Other duties as assigned


What we’re looking for


  • 2+ years of experience recruiting coordination, human resources, project coordination, event planning or admin experience in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
  • Exceptional problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to approach problems flexibly and demonstrate creativity in solving them
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and an insatiable desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to exercise tact, discretion and the initiative to efficiently meet the demands of multiple internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently, execute multiple tasks simultaneously, and cut through ambiguity
  • Unrivaled attention to detail and consistent delivery of the highest quality of work
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must
  • Working closely in a team environment with the ability to partner with diverse teams and across multiple locations
  • Liaising with key business partners within the organization to drive and maintain hiring processes while adhering to tight deadlines and service level agreements
  • Embracing a variety of internal and external software applications with the ability to learn new tools quickly


  • Bachelor’s degree or education in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred. Possess basic understanding core HR concepts such as FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred but not required.
  • Kronos Workforce Ready, iCims experience highly desired.
