  • Role Description

    Rapid Recovery Center (RRC) is dedicated to providing effective care in an exceptional environment with a personal approach, and a vital part of that care is ensuring that every patient gets the recovery therapy they need. As a occupational therapy assistant (OTA), you’ll play a crucial role in delivering that care.

    Working as part of our therapy team, you’ll be responsible for providing rehabilitation services within the occupational therapy scope. Under the guidance of the occupational therapists, you’ll administer specific treatment programs and general activity programs.

    Rapid Recovery Center is changing the approach to post-acute care, and our on-site therapy team is an essential part of that change. As an RRC certified occupational therapy assistant, you’ll be part of that transformative change, and make a profound difference in the lives of our patients.

     

    Overall Responsibilities:

    • Instructs patient in routine motor activities and activities of daily living to enhance occupational therapy
    • Evaluates and reviews pertinent data relating to overall treatment planning and evaluation
    • Administers standard evaluations and elicits information regarding existing skills and capacities
    • Identifies appropriate treatment goals and type of remedial activity to be used evaluates patient guest progress, attitudes, and behaviors on an ongoing basis
    • Maintains occupational therapy equipment and inventory of departmental supplies
    • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, supports quality assessment and performance improvement processes, adheres to safety, environmental and infection control standards

    What we’re looking for

    • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards
    • Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
    • CPR Certification required within 60 days of hire
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
    • Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other staff
    • Detail oriented and a strong team player
