  • Role Description

    Rapid Recovery Center (RRC) is dedicated to providing effective care in an exceptional environment with a personal approach. Therapy is a key part of that approach, and as the occupational therapist you’ll have a direct hand in that care delivery.

    Working as part of our therapy team, you’ll be responsible for providing rehabilitation services within the occupational therapy scope. You’ll also be responsible to diagnosis and treatment of impairments, functional disabilities or changed in physical function and health status.

    Rapid Recovery Center is changing the approach to post-acute care, and our on-site therapy team is an essential part of that change. As an RRC occupational therapist, you’ll be part of that transformative change, and make a profound difference in the lives of our patients.


    Overall Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems
    • Administer and interpret tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion and respiratory and circulatory efficiency
    • In collaboration with the patient and treatment team, establish a plan of care to meet goals for checkout
    • Provide treatment as agreed to in the plan of care
    • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in the care and use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, splints, braces and prosthetics
    • Document all interventions and treatments in the appropriate clinical systems
    • Assist with scheduling and maintaining therapy calendar

    What we’re looking for

    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
    • A graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by AOTA & ACOTE standards
    • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy required
    • Must be able to practice occupational therapy per state guidelines
    • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
    • CPR Certification required within 60 days of hire
    • Strong communication skills and must be a team player
